BackGround
MY first ever branding project. Our task was to create a company that uses insects in its products.

Process
Before this class, I had never used Illustrator for branding; I only messed around with it in other foundation classes. This led to a slow start to this project but Iām overall happy with the outcome. This inexperience also led to me experimenting and testing more than usual seeing what I can do with this new software.
In addition to the logomark, we were also told to make packaging for it, something I soon learned was much more technical than I thought.
Mockups
For my mockups, I choose to get my pins printed. I used Redbubble to publish and print my own designs as well as their solfwear to create a water bottle mockup as well. We were tasked to also make a business card for the brand so I made one adding information about the company as well as the mantis claw design passing through the card.
Unfinished/Unused
Packaging
Just as this was my first branding project so was it my first packaging one. I wish I had taken a bigger risk with the design in the end, it seemed a little safe. I added a handle and window on the side of the package so that you can see the project and carry it safely.
In the end, we printed them out and constructed them 1-to-1 scale. Again, Iām a little unhappy with how it came out. Doing it on a 7.5 x 11 sheet limited its size, and the thin paper didn't let it hold up well after some time. The packaging part of this assignment is my far my least favorite, but it did teach me valuable lessons about branding on a box as well as cutting and assembling boxes.
